The New iPhone Xs

Apple, at their annual Fall event, released a bunch of new/revised products and not the least of which, the iPhone Xs. This new iPhone is marked as one of the most advanced cameras to hit markets.

"Sensors, processors, algorithms, and you. An innovative dual-camera system integrates the ISP, the Neural Engine, and advanced algorithms to unlock new creative possibilities and help you capture incredible photos."

With its dual 12MP cameras, f/1.8 wide angle and f/2.4 telephoto lens, this set up along with very complicated algorithms allow the user to take pictures in what Apple is calling "Smart HDR." Smart HDR uses advanced algorithms to ultimately double the amount of pictures taken with standard HDR and pick the best ones to combine.
Another new feature includes face mapping and landmarking (previously only used for FaceID) ultimately allowing better focus as well as the ability to separate your subject from the background. This is allowing users for the first time ever in a smart phone to adjust the depth of field after a picture is taken. As with the iPhone 7+, the portrait modes uses this technology to adjust the lighting for various settings on your subject and Apple took this another step further.
Of course, this phone also allows 4K up to 60fps. Couple that with a sharper screen, reviewing your footage has never looked better or been any easier. What good is video without audio? iPhone can now record stereo audio natively.
For a truly all in one device this phone offers everything the casual shooter would need to produce a better picture/video than the next guy. Of course, these features are incredibly complicated and we are only scratching the surface of possibilities, my prediction is technology will eventually allow DSLR/Mirrorless quality pictures/videos to be composed and published from our cellphones.
