The Canadian Rockies

Visiting the infamous Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada last Summer, the picture of Lake Moraine was taken on the iPhone 7+ overlooking the lake. Being this was a past photo, I was only using the basic camera application and don't have access to the settings. Without spoiling too much information about the trip or location, I can tell you that it is worth the eight hour drive from Billings (through Calgary). The picture on the right was also taken on the iPhone 7+ and was taken in the park as well. It is hard to visit a location as beautiful as this and not take a decent photograph.

If there is one thing the iPhone does well it is take beautiful shots without much assistance from the operator. The picture taken at Lake Moraine I believe could be exposed a little differently but besides that the colors are true to their nature and dynamic range is adequate. Focus is held in each photo to the best the hand-held phone could keep.

Finally, the photo of Lake Moraine had minor retouching in Adobe Lightroom but let me assure you, the water is really just that shade of blue. The other picture remains unedited and compressed in a jpeg format. All around, I was satisfied with the results of taking these pictures with nothing more than my iPhone 7+.
